artist explaining project to children | Amy Loewan was invited to be one of the exhibiting artist at the 2014 International Children’s Festival in St Albert, Alberta. Her large rice paper weaving art work “O’Canada Project” served as the catalyst for inspiration and creativity. Children were invited to write/draw something about Canada onto pieces of paper strip which were then woven into a public panel. This community art project was very successful in attracting an enthusiastic crowd of children into participation. |
